Automotive Needs Increase, Competency Assessors Needed

MALANG, JUNE 22 – JULY 4, 2009. Indonesian Professional Certification Body for Automotive (LSP-TO) and IGI conducted a competency assessor training in the automotive field.
Twenty five participants from 8 IGI institutes: VEDC Malang, SMKN 2 Kendal, Politeknik SAKTI Surabaya, P4TK Medan, NVTDC Bandung, SMKN 1 Purwosari, Politeknik Negeri Malang, and SMK Pangudi Luhur Muntilan had been trained in the automotive competency assessor training in VEDC Malang according to the standard of Indonesian Professional Certification Authority (BNSP) including the competency test, independent and real assessments to become licensed competency assessors who are later able to assess individual competency in automotive.
The training was the initial movement to urge competency both for human resources or competency working place (TUK) at the IGI institutes. In future, the institutes will involve in the preparation of TUK according to the scheme in the automotive.
